2 bijkomende besmettingen met Mexicaanse griep in België
Twee nieuwe gevallen in België
Er zijn opnieuw twee nieuwe gevallen bevestigd van Mexicaanse griep in ons land. Het brengt het aantal patiënten in ons land op vier.
Het is de derde dag op rij dat de Mexicaanse griep in ons land bij een patiënt wordt vastgesteld. Nadat België lang wist te ontsnappen aan het virus, dook het woensdag toch voor het eerst op bij een 28-jarige man uit Gent. Hij werd naar het Sint-Pietersziekenhuis in Brussel gebracht. Gisteren werd het virus ook vastgesteld bij een 23-jarige man uit de regio Antwerpen. Beide personen waren onlangs in de Verenigde Staten geweest. Alle patienten werden overgebracht naar het Sint-Pietersziekenhuis.
De identiteit van de twee nieuwe patiënten werd nog niet bekend gemaakt. Later op de dag geeft het Interministerieel Commissariaat Influenza een persconferentie.
